Tourai / Torai - Four Pieces

Chana dal - a bowl

Onion - four pieces

Garlic - four buds

Tomato - two pieces

Ginger - a small piece

Cumin seeds - a spoon

Turmeric powder - one teaspoon

Red chilli powder - one teaspoon

Coriander Powder - One teaspoon

Kitchen King Masala - One Teaspoon

Bay leaves - four leaves

Salt - as per taste

Oil - as required

How to make  Turai / Torai-Chana Dal-turai / Torai-chana-dal recipe:


First of all, soak the chana dal and leave it for 1 hour.

After that cut the trumpet / luffa, onion and tomato into small pieces.

Then heat the oil in the cooker. Add cumin seeds, red chillies and bay leaves to it.

When the cumin seeds turn golden in color, add ginger and garlic paste to it.

When it is done well, add chopped onions and let it cook till it turns brown. After that add chopped tomatoes as well.

When onions and tomatoes are cooked well, add turmeric powder, salt, coriander powder and kitchen king masala to it and cook it well.

When or if the spices are cooked well, add chopped trumpet / luffa in it and let it cook a little longer.

After this, add all the gram dal and mix it well and close the cooker by adding a little water to the gravy.

Then wait 3 to 4 whistles. As soon as it takes three to four whistles, you immediately turn off the heat.

Recipe prepared in this way is decorated with green coriander, Turai / Torai-Chana dal.
